Every week at the Westchase District Farmers Market our friendly and professional public safety officers patrol the market, chatting with customers and ensuring a safe environment for all.
Even with police presence at the market, it’s a fact that burglaries of motor vehicles are among Houston’s most common crimes. Here’s what you can do to prevent becoming a victim:
- Lock your vehicle.
- Take your keys.
- Hide your valuables so they’re not in view.
- Place personal items such as laptops, portable DVD players, gym bags, sports equipment, luggage, etc. in the trunk of your car before arriving at your destination.
- Close all car windows completely.
